Is Your Pelvic Floor Letting You Down?

Featuring Dr. Tessa Krantz, interviewed by Maryon Stewart

ABOUT THIS INTERVIEW

We discussed vaginal dryness in our panel discussion titled "From Agony to Ecstasy," but unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to address the importance of our pelvic floor, which is often overlooked. As the old saying goes, "if you don't use it, you will lose it," and this applies to our pelvic floor as well. Some women may experience pelvic floor problems after giving birth vaginally, while others may not notice any issues until they reach midlife and beyond. At this stage, they may start experiencing leakage when coughing or sneezing, which can make them feel older than they are. What many of us fail to realize, mainly because it's not commonly discussed, is how a healthy pelvic floor greatly impacts our overall well-being. In this session with Dr. Tessa Krantz, an experienced urogynecologist, we will learn how to strengthen our pelvic floor, allowing us to continue feeling confident and empowered as women.
